About Grand Pointe
Grand Pointe is a planned community that was established in 2004. We’re located just north of Northport Elementary School, Northport Intermediate School, and Tuscaloosa County High School near U.S. Highway 43. The residential development is 286 acres and there are approximately 475 homes in the neighborhood with planned growth to over 550 in the next two-to-three years.
Our Homeowners Association
Grand Pointe is governed by the Grand Pointe Homeowners Association, Inc. All lots in the subdivision are legally bound to abide by the community covenants. One of the positives of our community being established for over 15 years is that our HOA is controlled by homeowners, not developers. The HOA watches out for the best interests of the community and aims to provide a safe and happy environment to live in while continuing to raise property values.
Our Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is made up of seven Grand Pointe homeowners. Board members serve three-year terms and are elected by a vote of the association at the HOA’s annual meeting. The Board meets at least once each quarter to conduct the association’s business. The Board elects its officers on an annual basis. Our current Board members are:

Committee members are appointed by the Board of Directors and serve an indefinite term until they resign or are removed by a vote of the Board of Directors. This committee is responsible for making sure adjustments to lots and houses in Grand Pointe stay in keeping with the subdivision and don’t have a negative impact on the look and flow of the neighborhood. Our current committee members are:

Our Community Management Team
The Grand Pointe HOA contracts out day-to-day management of the association so finances, vendor management, and covenant enforcement are professionally managed. In 2020, we transitioned to Community Management Associates (CMA) for our community management needs. Based in Atlanta, CMA manages over 1,000 communities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Grand Pointe’s community management team works out of CMA’s office in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
